The plot

You find yourself in an underground mine. Luckily for you it is filled with jelly beans, your personal favorite! Collect all the jellybeans on each level, but avoid the drops of water as well as the fire enemies and other traps along the way.

Once you have all the jellybeans, find the key (clue, it is inside of something) and then head to the exit door of the level.

There are 6 levels for you to complete, along with a fun end of game boss!

If you want to turn off the sound effects or music then click on the music icon note or the FX icon in the bottom right of the screen.

Make your own game

If you enjoy this game why not try making your own game. I have put together a tutorial at Udemy on how to create the 2D graphics for this game, and I am now working on another tutorial showing you how you can make this game in a simple to use game engine.

The tutorial is free and can be found at:

I am a game design teacher at a college in the UK and I designed this simple platformer to teach people how to make 2D games. I hope you enjoy it!

It was a pretty fun game to play. The jumping works rather well and the levels have a nice, challenging design too. However, the collision detection could be more detailed, now you can walk past the edge of a platform (although that's also a useful feature in some parts).

If you're interested, you could consider entering this game to our contest, the Game Development World Championship!

Thanks for playing the game, glad you enjoyed it. The ability to jump from the edges of platforms was a staple of the older retro titles on Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum that I was trying to emulate, but you might be right, in today's world gamers are more sophisticated and expect more of a challenge.

The Game Development World Championship looks amazing, there are some great games appearing there. I might enter this game just to appear alongside some amazing titles.

Yeah, you could say it's kind of a hidden feature you can use when you discover it. Thanks for taking interest!
